Hi, I’m Kat. I’m an artist and photographer drawn to bright, bold color, playful shapes, and folk art rooted in Appalachia. I earned a BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design and began my career in graphic design, creating artwork for brands like Disney, Universal Studios, Hard Rock, Ron Jon Surf Shop, American Girl, Cabela’s, JCPenney, and more.

These days, I focus on my own work, painting and photographing nature, food, and the overlooked beauty tucked into everyday life.

I grew up in Northern Virginia and have lived around the country, including Santa Fe, NM; Savannah, GA; Asheville, NC; and most recently Pittsburgh, PA, where I spent the last eleven years (Go Stillers!).

In summer 2026, I’ll return full-time to Virginia, where I plan to spend lots of time in my studio, explore the woods, help run the historic Visulite Theater in downtown Staunton with my husband, and have plenty of adventures with our two busy kids + one goofy bulldog ☺
